intelliScanner wine collector ($260)

cblue.jpgSo this will be the only post for Wednesday as I will be at MacWorld. While they have connectivity from the show floor I doubt if I will have the time to post anything. Besides checking out the new gear, gizmos and the like, I am going to be sure to swing by the IntelliScanner booth and take a look at the Wine Collector.

A barcode scanner that is combined with a wine database, you can scan the retail barcode on the label for automatic identification of the name, varietal, winery, country, type, color, and region. Portable and refillable, unlike this bottle of Joseph Phelp’s Insignia I am drinking. Built for the serious hobbyist or collector, you can scan the wines as they move in and out of the cellar, store tasting notes, and add new barcodes from the Internet. If you have a lot of wine in storage, this is a great inventory management device. I, on the other hand need a bigger glass recycle bin.
