goodness from the “devil’s dirt”

gfc.jpgBaileyana Winery sits at the base of the Seven Sisters in Edna Valley. The Seven Sisters is a chain of extinct volcanos in the Central Coast of California just a few minutes from the Pacific Ocean. This combination of rocky ground, old volcanos, and breezes coming off the ocean have created the perfect environment to produce one of the better Chardonnays I have drank in a while.

Baileyana’s 2003 Edna Valley Firepeak Vineyard “The GFC” Chardonnay is a Chardonnay lover’s delight. Apples and pears are expertly interwoven with vanilla and citrus by Winemaker Christian Roguenant. This limited production Chardonnay is priced at $30.00 and cannot be purchased online, but contact the winery and get yourself a case. And as always… let them know who sent you!
